Review problems

Removing fake Google reviews

Fake reviews leave a trail. The job is giving Google a trail it can check.

A fake review is usually written by someone with no transaction behind it: a competitor, a paid poster, or an account created for the purpose. Google's spam and fake engagement policy covers all three.

The strongest cases are not the angriest ones. They are the ones where the reviewer's claim can be tested against your records and fails.

From £99 a removal, priced per review. No charge for the eligibility check.

Patterns that point to fake engagement

One is noise. Several together is a case.

  • A cluster of one-star reviews arriving within hours, from accounts with no other history
  • Identical or near-identical wording across reviews of the same business
  • Reviews that mention a product, service or location you do not offer
  • A reviewer whose only reviews are negatives for businesses in your area

Evidence worth sending

Anything that lets a reviewer confirm the transaction never happened is valuable.

  • Booking, order or client records showing no match for the reviewer's name or the date claimed
  • Screenshots of the same text reused on other profiles
  • Your own timeline of when the reviews appeared, especially if it lines up with a dispute or a tender

How the report is framed

Google needs the category, the wording and the fact. We write reports that give all three, because a bare flag tends to be read as a disagreement about quality.

  • Name fake engagement rather than "bad review"
  • Quote the wording that reveals the reviewer had no transaction
  • Keep it to the point: one review, one argument

Questions we get asked

You cannot prove a negative outright, but you can show that no booking, order or client record matches the person or the date they describe. Combined with a new or single-purpose account, that is often enough.

They are reported individually, because each is assessed on its own content, but a group case is usually stronger than a single one and we discount bulk removals on the same profile.

Age is not disqualifying up to 5 years, but it does make the case slower and more expensive, because account histories and records are harder to line up.
